What’s there to do in town?

How long does it take to do the tour?

Plan for 45-minutes, at least.

Are picnics allowed?

Yes! Bring your food and beverages and sit beneath our shady mesquite trees!

How close are you to the Anza Trail?

The Anza Trail can be accessed by a trailhead next door to Presidio and can be accessed through dirt parking lot on south side of Park. Trailheads may also be accessed at Tumacácori Mission and other locations nearby. More information on the Anza Trail is available here.

Is it possible to walk the Anza Trail path between the Presidio and Tumacácori?

Yes, there is a 4.5-mile trail between Tumacácori and Tubac (off of I-19) managed by the Anza Trail Coalition of Arizona and open to the public. The trail also extends north from Tubac for about a mile. There are no facilities along the trail or potable water, please pack plenty of water for your hike.

Do you sell Arizona State Park Passes? 

The Tubac Presidio is operated by the nonprofit Friends of the Tubac Presidio & Museum, we accept AZ State Park passes but we are not able to sell them at this time.

Do you allow overnight parking of RV’s or vehicles in your parking lot? 

We do not allow overnight parking.
