Totems and tree dangles, steel animals and plants – they are all part of the Botanical Blacksmiths' exhibit on display in the historic gardens of the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park and Museum.
The exhibit features over 40 pieces of outdoor ironwork including whimsical and thought provoking sculpture, botanical art, and functional pieces such as garden benches, birdbaths, and even a sundial.
The work in the show was created by 12 Arizona blacksmiths who are all members of the Arizona Artist Blacksmith Association (AABA). AABA was founded in 1981 as an affiliate of the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA). It has as its purpose the…
