About the Event

On October 23, 1775, Juan Bautista de Anza and over 200 settlers departed the Tubac Presidio to embark on an expedition covering over 1,000 miles. This expedition set in motion a chain of events that shaped Arizona, California, and the Western United States as we know it today.

Visit https://www.tubacpresidio.org/anza250 for full park itinerary, partner programs around town and other commemorative events along the trail. From Thursday, October 23- Saturday, October 25, the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park and Museum will offer free admission.
