About the Event

Join us as Jack shares with us the interesting story of the Spanish frontier’s expansion north up into this area where we live.  It will include the fascinating stories of Coronado, Father Kino, Juan Batista de Anza and the establishment of the presidios at Tubac and Tucson; why they were here, how the Spanish dealt with the Apaches, how the Americans acquired this land, why the Southern Arizona border goes up to Yuma instead of straight to the Gulf of California, how Tucson and Arizona got their names, and much more.
