Jack Talks Lecture Series: Coronado, Cabeza de Vaca, Estabanco and Marcos de Niza

Join Jack for the famous story of the Coronado Expedition in 1540, the earliest Spanish entry up into Arizona and New Mexico, that made not only Coronado, but also Cabeza de Vaca, Estabanico, and Marcos de Niza famous.  It is a story of the Spanish search for gold, for the Seven Cities of Cibola, Las Siete Ciudades de Oro (the Seven Cities of Gold), and of Cabeza de Vaca’s eight year journey, some four years before, around the Gulf of Mexico back to New Spain overland after having been shipwrecked on the Florida coast in the Narváez expedition, and his tales of that trip that prompted the Coronado expedition.
