About the Event
Día de los Muertos is a beautiful tradition that brings the community together to celebrate life and honor those who have passed. The day will include a procession through the village, altars, offerings, and a bonfire finale. There will also be over 40 pop-up vendors, food trucks, face painting, a DJ, and live music. Whether you’re new to the tradition or a regular participant, we welcome you to get involved in this unique and heartfelt event.
Key Event Schedule:
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Face painting (Vendor Area at Plaza Rd. and Burruel)
11 a.m.: Procession begins (Tubac Presidio Historic State Park)
12:15 p.m.: Grand finale with the burning of intentions (K Newby Gallery Sculpture Garden)
2 p.m.: Catrina Contest (Vendor Area at Plaza Rd. and Burruel)
